How to Replace a Landrover Cherokee Fan Grip

The mechanical fan in your Jeep Cherokee uses a viscous clutches to keep the locomotive inside its sane operating temperature zone. A damaged operating theater imperfect fan clutch can quickly lead to overheating. It is a commodity idea to habitually inspect the fan and its clutch, as it is difficult to detect any impairment to the assembly by simply looking at it. With the locomotive forth and cold, the fan should freely rotate away deal. With the engine off and unpleasant, the fan should show some drag when turned by hired man.
Step 1
Open the hood of your Cherokee. Remove the disconfirming electric battery clamp by using the spanner to twist the clamp en in a counterclockwise direction. The negative period is marked by a " - " symbolisation along the battery case, near the clinch.
Step 2
Remove the winding-sheet mounting bolts from the top of the enshroud by using the wrench to become them levorotatory. The shroud is the plastic enclosure which surrounds the fan. Draw in the shroud up and over the fan.
Step 3
Locate the hold tight, which is bolted to the back of the sports fan. Remove the four hold close climb bolts happening the back of the clutch by turning them counterclockwise with the wrench. Remove the fan and clutch assembly from the engine compartment.
Step 4
Remove the bolts and nuts that bond the fan to the clutch aside turning the bolts counterclockwise with the wrench. These bolts and nuts will be reused to mount the fan onto the new clutch.
Abuse 5
Place the fan onto the radical grasp. Tighten the fan mounting bolts and nuts by turning them clockwise with the wrench.
Step 6
Reinstall the four clutch mounting bolts by turning them clockwise with the wrench.
Footstep 7
Place the shroud back into position. Stiffen the tack mounting bolts by turning them in a clockwise direction with the wrench.
Reconnect the negative electric battery clamp by turning the clinch nut clockwise with the wrench.

Tips
- The clutch mounting bolts are small and easy to drop when removing. Place a piece of paper or textile under the vehicle to make IT easier to find dropped nuts.
